Rabobank’s International Strategist Michael Each says Australia is unlikely to be impacted immediately by President Trump’s commerce tariffs given our “commerce relationship with america is not that enormous, and there aren’t too many sectors, that are going to be problematic”.
However he says, it depends upon what the US does subsequent, and that Washington is urgent forward fairly aggressively and making an attempt to ensure they run a lot smaller commerce deficits with all of the nations that America has an enormous surplus.
