Open Society Foundations chairman and founder George Soros shares his newest considering on economics and politics in a five-part lecture collection recorded at Central European College, October 26-30, 2009. The lectures are the fruits of a lifetime of sensible and philosophical reflection.
Soros discusses his basic idea of reflexivity and its software to monetary markets, offering insights into the current monetary disaster. The third and fourth lectures study the idea of open society, which has guided Soros’s world philanthropy, in addition to the potential for battle between capitalism and open society. The closing lecture focuses on the best way forward, analyzing the more and more necessary financial and political function that China will play sooner or later.
