The European Union voted on Friday to pave the best way for tariffs of as much as 35.3% on electrical autos imported from China, a transfer which may set the stage for a protracted commerce struggle with the Asian big. The vote comes after a year-long anti-subsidy investigation by the European Fee, which proposed the tariffs to counter what it sees as unfair Chinese language subsidies.
