A Burlington, Ont. lady who allegedly bought pretend tickets to Taylor Swift’s concert events in Toronto and scammed followers out of tens of hundreds of {dollars} is dealing with prices, police say.
Investigators stated the suspect used Fb Market to promote the ticket gross sales and supplied dates and seat places for the sold-out dates at Rogers Centre earlier this month.
As soon as the victims agreed to make a purchase order, they despatched the suspect full cost, police stated. Investigators consider that a few of these fraudulent tickets have been bought from the suspect as early as August 2023, when tickets first went on sale.
Police stated that the suspect suggested victims that the tickets wouldn’t be out there till days earlier than the live performance. When the 28 alleged victims went to entry their tickets on the live performance date, police stated, the tickets weren’t out there.
